Bethanie Mettling – Legal Aid of the Bluegrass Pro Bono Unit Manager

Bethanie Mettling is the Pro Bono Unit Manager at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass (LABG). Bethanie is a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky and a 2008 graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law.  She resides in Northern Kentucky with her husband and two sons.

As part of her role as the Pro Bono Unit Manager, Bethanie works with Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers (NKVL) and serves as Volunteer Coordinator. Bethanie recruits volunteers, plans various legal information clinics, and manages the assignment of LABG cases to volunteer attorneys across Kentucky.   NKVL hopes to ensure that low-income and other vulnerable populations have access to pro bono legal resources, including self-represented litigant assistance, legal information, advice, brief services, and full representation.

If you have any ideas for pro bono opportunities, clinics, trainings, community programs, or general questions about pro bono opportunities, please reach out to Bethanie at [email protected] or (859) 957-0187.
